"No tube!
This is a test to see how he does...
He ate 4 full feedings today so we'll see.
Even if they have to put the tube back in-- he's making lots of progress!"





  • Amy Lerman: "Just to clarify-preemies and babies who have respiratory problems have to pass a car seat test before they can go home: They have to sit in their seat for an hour without dropping their heart rate, oxygen or respiratory rate. Because I'm pretty much a resident of the NICU, the car seat specialist installed Parker's car seat for me and showed me how to buckle him in properly. Since he was in the seat- we did the test- and he passed Unfortunately he is still not ready to go home yet. But we're getting closer!!"   (see picture below)
